On Sunday 14th July, Survive’s team of volunteers came together and bravely paddled down the River Ouse.
We were joined by local MP Rachael Maskell, the SVLO team from University of York, team members from York St. John University, members of our own team, and supporters of Survive.
We also had training tips and support from Julie Chan, from Team GB’s Senior A Dragon Boat Team.
We came in 31st out of 36 boats, so perhaps paddling isn’t our calling… BUT we have raised an incredible £4,300 so far!
We want to say THE BIGGEST THANK YOU to all our paddlers, our stall volunteers, and our supporters. With your support, we can continue to support those affected by sexual violence and abuse living in York and North Yorkshire.
