Survive secures £60k in emergency Covid 19 grants

Emergency funding invested in equipment and service delivery
Survive, a specialist charity that helps survivors of sexual trauma rebuild their lives and relationships and
reach their potential, has received £60,269 in emergency Covid19 funding to enable it to continue to
support survivors during the pandemic.
The funding has been secured from The National Lottery, Two Ridings Community Foundation, the
Lloyds Foundation, the NHS and York City Council. The charity plans to invest the funds in new kit and
equipment for their team of specialist counsellors and support workers to enable them to continue to
offer support remotely as well as additional hours and a new website with resources for survivors.
Funds will also be invested in PPE, screens and equipment to keep staff, volunteers and clients safe
when skeleton services resume at their office in York.
Survive supports adults who have experienced sexual trauma – rape, sexual assault, child sexual abuse
as well as grooming, sexual exploitation and the coercive sexual control often present in abusive
relationships.
