Why volunteer?
If you feel concerned about the impact sexual violence has on people and want to offer support that can make a real difference to peoples’ lives you might like to think about volunteering.

Volunteers are recruited and trained to work on the helpline, offer one to one support and help out in the coffee morning. The training involves learning about the impact of child sexual abuse, rape and sexual assault, giving information and developing listening skills. The initial training involves a commitment of 30 hours. Continuing development happens through regular training sessions and supervision.

To find out more about becoming a volunteer contact the Survive office on 01904 638813 for an informal discussion about what is involved. The application process includes a DBS check.
